The Black Cats host table-toppers Burnley, as they look to keep up their perfect start to the season.
Sunderland were dealt a huge blow on Thursday, as it was announced that they had accepted a bid of £15million rising to £20million for star player, Jack Clarke from Ipswich Town.
The last update came yesterday, that Clarke had travelled to East Anglia for a medical ahead of his move to the newly promoted Premier League side.
However, they have had an amazing start to the campaign, and they could leapfrog Burnley to the top of the table with a victory.
Sunderland also remain the only side in the Championship to have not conceded a goal so far this season.
New Burnley manager, Scott Parker, has had a brilliant start to his tenure, after Vincent Kompany left to join Bayern Munich following The Clarets’ relegation from the Premier League last season.
They have beaten Luton Town 1-4 away from home, and they hammered Cardiff City 5-0 at Turf Moor last time out.
Sunderland have won just 1 of their last 7 matches against Burnley, the last victory coming in a 1-3 away victory in 2019.
