The Black Cats’ new signing, Jewison Bennette could be involved in the squad after signing on Thursday.
The 18-year-old came from Costa Rican club Herediano, and he is also an international for his home nation, Costa Rica.
Sunderland’s front 2, Stewart and Simms, will be hoping to keep their form up on Saturday.
Ross Stewart kept his impressive start of the season going with another goal against Stoke City last week.
The striker scored 26 goals last season, and he will be hoping to get somewhere near that this season, in his first season in the championship.
