Sunderland are unbeaten in their last 4 (5 including FA Cup) and they won last time out at the Stadium of Light against Blackburn on Boxing Day thanks to a last minute goal by Ellis Simms, who has recently returned to his parent club, Everton.

Ross Stewart has been in the news lately regarding his contract, but he will be focusing on keeping his 100% scoring record since returning from his injury.

Sunderland have lost their last three games against The Swans, their last win coming in 2016 thanks to a Defoe hat-trick as Sunderland came out 2-4 winners at the Liberty Stadium.

Danny Batth will be back in the squad and Lynden Gooch could make his return from injury.
