A Sunderland woman says she had a holiday from hell in an “absolutely disgusting” Caravan at Haggerston Castle, complete with poo stained towels.
The woman, known as Laura had arrived late at night with her family at Haggerston Holiday Park, South of Berwick Upon Tweed in Northumberland, only to discover the holiday home they rented was filthy.
In a series of photos sent to SGM, Laura described finding poo stained towels, soiled bedding, dirty cutlery in the drawers and crumbs everywhere.
When she contacted and complained to reception, they told her the cleaner was finished for the day and there was nothing they could do for her, forcing her to clean and disinfect the home herself at night.
She then stated when a member of staff brought new bedding later on, that too was also dirty. Despite this, she rejected an offer to move caravan having already cleaned it herself.
Resisting the temptation to have walked out and went home, says she will be making a formal complaint to the Holiday Park over the situation.
