Sunderland’s SpaceBar seeks help to get back on its feet following damage caused by riots
SpaceBar is a sci-fi themed bar and arcade based on Waterloo Place in Sunderland City Centre.
The popular bar is based on the same row as the former police office and the new destroyed citizen’s advice bureau.
Its location subsequently made it a target during the riots as well, which has resulted in damage to its premises.
Although it has got back on its feet and is open today, the venue still needs support from the community to recuperate from the mounting costs imposed on it.
As a result, a GoFundMe has been set up to support them. If you are not able to contribute to it, you can help them by going down and visiting yourself!
