The Black Cats’ travel down to Swansea as the Sunderland faithful sold out yet another away end despite the 700-mile-round journey.

Both Sunderland and Swansea are both early season contenders for the Championship play-offs.

Swansea have recently turned their form around after a poor start to the season, winning 4 of their last 5 games in the league.

The Black Cats’ are unbeaten in their last 4, however they have drawn their last 3 games, including 2 0-0 draws at home.

Despite being so solid defensively, Sunderland are clear struggling to score goals, as they have been playing their recent games without a recognised striker.

With a win, the Black Cats’ will leapfrog Swansea, into the play-off places.

Tony Mowbray has confirmed that Dennis Cirkin will be with the squad as they travel to Wales.

He has also hinted the Jewison Bennette could make his first start for the Black Cats’, after saying he only got half an hour on Tuesday due to the amount of travelling he did with his national team.

Ellis Simms will not be returning to the squad just yet as he works on returning from his injury.

Dan Ballard and Ross Stewart remain on the sidelines for now.
