Teenager wanted by police over sex act on train between Newcastle and Edinburgh

Police are seeking information and witnesses after a young man has been accused of carrying out a sex act on a train between Newcastle and Edinburgh.

On March 10 a woman was travelling on the 14.28 service from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley when during the journey, after Newcastle, a man sat opposite her. Between 17.50 and 19.30, the woman saw the man committing a sex act.

He then left the train at Edinburgh. He is described as 17 to 18 years old, white, 6ft-tall, proportionate build, sandy coloured hair shaved at the side and longer on the top.

He was wearing a multi-coloured patterned, 90’s style bomber jacket with black across the shoulders, a bright purple t-shirt and loose-fitting blue jeans. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has any information to come forward and assist the investigation.
