For the run-up to Christmas thousands of products to lock on low prices

Tesco has announced a vast new price-lock commitment and is freezing the prices of more than a thousand everyday products until 2023, giving shoppers the opportunity to spend less and enjoy the festive seasons.

The products included within their mammoth Low Everyday Prices campaign cover a wide range of products and brands that are bought a week in, week out from teatime favourites to health and beauty products.

The commitment that Tesco is making is a key part of them giving customers great value for their shopping which goes hand in hand with their Aldi Price Match and exclusive deals through Clubcard Prices. They are also launching a Clubcard Christmas Savers Scheme which offers customers a bonus voucher of up to £12 when they save their Clubcard vouchers towards their big Christmas shop.

Tesco UK Chief Executive, Jason Tarry, said: “We know times are tough for many customers right now particularly as we head into the winter months. We hope this extended price-lock commitment gives our customers the certainty of knowing that over a thousand household favourites will stay at the same great price for months to come- helping them budget when they need it most”.

As well as helping customers, Tesco has also announced another major investment towards their colleagues with a second hourly-pay increase this year and a doubling of their colleague discount to support them this Christmas. This means that hourly rates have increased by nearly 8% this year.
