The following packets of crisps are being recalled by ASDA over allergy fears

Asda has issued a recall over packets of crisps as they could pose a health risk for people with a milk allergy.

The supermarket chain has recalled Asda Extra Special Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps because they contain milk, which is not mentioned on the label.

The packs affected have a best before date of September 21, 2024, and are 150g in size.

The Food Standards Agency said: “As a result of a packaging error, some packs contain Cheese & Onion Crisps. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”

Asda added in its warning: “Asda is recalling the above best before date code of Asda Extra Special Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps (150g) because packs contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk.
