The following Sunderland Schools have had knife incidents, freedom of information request reveals

A number of Sunderland schools in the past few years have experienced incidents involving students bringing knives into schools, including Primary Schools with students as young as eight, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.
2019-2020:
Bexhill Junior Infant School – 1 suspect aged 10, kitchen knife
Grangetown Primary School – 1 suspect aged 8, craft knife
Monkwearmouth Comprehensive – 1 suspect aged 12, knife
Oxclose Comprehensive School – 1 suspect aged 11, blade
St.Leonards R.C.Primary School – 1 suspect aged 10, kitchen knife
Thornhill School – 2 suspects aged 12 and 13, kitchen knife and knife
2020-2021
Southmoor Academy – 1 suspect aged 12, kitchen knife
Thornhill School – 1 suspect aged 11, kitchen knife
Venerable Bede School – 1 suspect aged 12, kitchen knife
2021-2022
Newbridge Academy – 1 suspect aged 14, knife
Red House Academy – 1 suspect aged 13, knife
Washington Academy – 1 suspect aged 14, knife

Ryhope Juniors – 1 suspect aged 10, knife
