This one is for all the burger lovers, who are ready to shell out any amount for a wholesome burger.
Chef Robbert Jan de Veen of De Daltons diner in Voorthuizen, Netherlands has recently created the world’s most expensive burger and is selling it for 5,000 euro, He recently shared a photo of the burger on instagram.
But what makes it so pricely? According to the official website of the diner, its astronomical cost stems from the inclusion of Beluga caviar, king crab, Spanish Paleta Iberico, white truffle, and English cheddar cheese. If we go by the website, it also has a barbeque sauce, which is made with Kopi Luwak, one of the most expensive coffee beans in the world. The bun is made with Dom Pérignon champagne dough and topped with a gold leaf.
The Burger was sold to Netherlands-based business conglomerate Remia International and it was eaten by Rober Willemse, chairman of the Royal Dutch Food and Beverage Association. The amount collected from the sale was later donated to a non-profit organisation.
In a statement, Veen said the idea of making this burger happened because he was depressed and was feeling bad seeing the sufferings of the masses and the dismal situation of the restaurant industry due to the covid-19 pandemic.
