Three Hendon burglars who targeted businesses around the North Hylton area have been jailed.
Clive Green, Gary Robinson and James Trott attacked the Brewers Fayre and Palm venues last year.
This included breaking into tills, stealing charity boxes and alcohol, but at the Palm they were caught by police.
Trott of Marion Street, Hendon, was jailed for 37 months.
Green 47, who has no fixed address, pleaded guilty to offenses of burglary, attempted burglary and a racially aggravated public order offence by giving racial abuse to the officer who arrested him.
Robinson, 50, also of Marion street in Hendon, received 2 years and six weeks sentence for pleading guilty to burglary, attempted burglary and breaking a previous order.
