University of Sunderland Puts out an Email Alert as Wanted Murder Suspect is revealed to be a Student

The University of Sunderland has put out a warning alert email to all of its students after it was revealed wanted murder suspect, Alexander Carr, is enrolled to study at the University.
Carr, 32, is wanted over the murder of 49 year old Michelle Hanson, who was killed at her home in Pallion the previous week.
Since the murder was committed, Carr has disappeared, prompting a region wide manhunt by police in the attempt to capture him.
Crimestoppers have pledged a £10,000 reward for anyone who has information leading to his arrest.
Yesterday, Northumbria Police released additional CCTV footage of Carr, showing him getting on a bus near St. Peter’s Campus at Monkwearmouth.
The University’s email to students has subsequently offered support to his former classmates, expressing concern for the wellbeing of its students and staff, and offering consultation with the institution’s security team.
Students have also been urged to contact police if they have any contact with him or information.
