Venerable Bede School in Ryhope to have a “late start” at 10am due to heating issue

Venerable Bede Church of England Academy in Ryhope is to “attempt a late start” at 10am on Wednesday morning due to problems with the school heating system, parents were informed via text.

According to the message, sent at around 9pm last night, there is a “leak” in the heating which may also “affect the electrical and alarm” systems, with “engineers on site” late to assess the situation.

10am has been marked as a provisional late opening time, but there may be more updates to follow.
