The Met Office have issued a yellow warning for heavy rain from 12:00 Monday to 05:00 Tuesday for the following areas:
- Darlington
- Durham
- Hartlepool
- Middlesbrough
- Redcar and Cleveland
- Stockton-on-Tees
- Sunderland
The warning states Rain may become prolonged and heavy at times during Monday afternoon and evening, easing from the west overnight.
20-30 mm of rain falling widely with 40-50 mm in a few places.
