XL Bully dies after being tasered by police during Manchester machete arrests

An XL Bully dog has died after being tasered by police during an incident involving armed teenagers at Nutsford Vale Park in Manchester.

Officers were responding to reports of males carrying machetes when, according to Greater Manchester Police, one of the suspects released the dog in an attempt to evade arrest. The animal, described by police as aggressive, was reportedly tasered multiple times and struck with batons as officers tried to restrain it. The dog, named Skye, died shortly after.

The scene was captured on video by the dog’s owner, music producer Saif Khan, known as Legendary Keyzz. He criticised police actions on social media, claiming excessive force was used.

Two 16-year-old boys have since been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon. Both remain in custody and are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.

The incident is under review by the force’s Professional Standards Directorate, as per protocol.
