The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for “strong and blustery winds” on Wednesday.
The warning applies across the North East and forecasters believe the high winds will move down from Scotland “by late morning or early afternoon”.
The forecasters warned that “strong and blustery southwesterly winds” would lead to high gusts and could be accompanied by heavy rain.
This comes hot on the heels of the impacts caused by Storm Isha and Storm Jocelyn last week. And the Met Office has also warned the public to expect transport delays and potentially power cuts. Coastal areas may be especially affected.
