Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pastry and dessert items
- Support the kitchen team with general chef duties
- Work alongside the Head Chef/Patron
- Maintain high standards of food preparation
- Contribute to the development of dishes and the restaurant’s food offering
- Continue developing pastry and wider culinary skills
Requirements
- At least 1 year of chef experience
- Knowledge of pastry and desserts
- Some all-round kitchen skills
- Hunger to learn and develop
- Desire for career progression
- Good English language skills
About The Role
Lovage Jesmond is recruiting a Pastry Chef/Chef de Partie to join its team at a Michelin-listed restaurant in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The role is suited to a committed chef with knowledge of pastry and desserts, alongside broader kitchen skills and a strong desire to learn and progress. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills while working closely with the Head Chef/Patron and an experienced team.
The position offers a starting rate of £14.50 per hour, together with a share of tips and five weeks’ annual holiday. Staff can also receive discounts across the business’s outlets.
