Community Anger after yobs smash seating of Ryhope football club

There is community anger after yobs smashed the plastic seating belonging to a local Ryhope football club.

The vandalism occurred yesterday at the ground of Ryhope Colliery Welfare Football Club, with numerous seats broken.

Grassroots football clubs are often cash strapped financially and depend on local businesses and community good will to function.

The vandalism is thus a significant blow to the club and its owners.
