A woman is appealing for witnesses and information after a van reverses into her car, severely damaged it and proceeded to leave the scene.

Jennifer Harrington stated: “I had a crash yesterday and just wanted to see if I can get any information from anyone who was in the area yesterday.   “Does anyone recognise this van at all or have any dashcam or CCTV footage? They reversed into my car yesterday on Westcott Avenue in South Shields between 13:45 and 14:15 and drove away. I didnt catch the reg plate. Any information would be great.”
