Crimestoppers issues new appeal over murder of Kieran Williams, re-emphasises £20,000 reward

Crimestoppers has issued a new appeal regarding the murder of Kieran Williams in Sunderland, re-emphasizing that a £20,000 reward is available for whosoever can reveal information pertaining to his killer.

In 2022, 18 year old Kieran Williams, who was vulnerable and had learning difficulties, was stabbed to death. His body was buried a makeshift grave near Pallion Industrial estate.

Two young men, Ben Cook and Louis Hackett, were initially charged with his murder. Although Hackett was convicted of his manslaughter, he was only given a light custodial sentence whereby Cook was exonerated completely.

The Judge then stated his belief that the real killer was still at large, leading to a stalemate which over 2 and a half years since his murder, no suspect has been identified.

Crimestoppers is therefore again appealing for anyone who may have information in regards to this case. This is the murder of a young man and the culprit needs to be brought to justice.
