Shifts: Monday–Friday and weekends

About the Role

Join a busy, independent Italian restaurant and takeaway in Sunderland as a Kitchen Porter. You’ll be a crucial part of the team, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly by handling essential prep and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize kitchen areas (prep stations, sinks, ovens, grills, stoves)

Wash and organize cookware, utensils, and cutlery

Help prepare ingredients (peeling, washing, chopping)

Unload deliveries and store items correctly

Maintain cleanliness of fridges, freezers, and storage areas

Keep kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces hygienic and orderly


Qualifications & Skills

Experience in restaurants or kitchens preferred

Comfortable handling basic food prep and cleaning duties

Reliable, well-organized, and able to work efficiently under pressure
