JOB NEWS: New Rio Steakhouse on Low Row recruiting staff
One of Sunderland’s most eagerly awaited new restaurants is taking shape, and it’s hiring.
Work is well underway to transform the former Halo bar in Low Row into RIO, a Brazilian steakhouse from the Tomahawk group, known for its popular venues across the North East.
The site is undergoing a £450,000 fit out and will be Sunderland city centre’s only dedicated steakhouse. While an official opening date is yet to be confirmed, recruitment is in full swing for front of house, floor supervisors, bar staff and more.
RIO is famous for its unlimited churrasco meats, served by gaucho chefs using a red and green coaster system – green for “more meat”, red for “pause”. There’s also an unlimited salad bar.
The Sunderland branch will join locations in Jesmond, Newcastle Quayside, Durham, Middlesbrough and beyond.
Interested applicants can email lewis.kenney@rio-steakhouse.co.uk.
