JOB NEWS: Falcon Computers on Roker Avenue is hiring a Sales & Warehouse Assistant to work on a temporary basis
Location: 190 Roker Avenue, Sunderland SR6 0BN
Contract: Temporary / Temp to Perm, Full-time
Pay: £12.21–£12.50 per hour
About the role
- Combined sales and warehouse position in a busy computer retail and logistics environment
- Hands-on role supporting both customers and stock operations
- Temp to perm opportunity with training provided
Key duties
- Loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers
- Organising, shelving and stacking stock safely
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Carrying out regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean, organised warehouse environment
- Assisting with inventory management and stock movement records
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
- Operating basic warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks (training provided)
- Handling face-to-face and telephone sales enquiries
- Supporting customers using good PC technical knowledge
What we’re looking for
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Good knowledge of PC components and how PCs work
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
- Basic numeracy skills for stock counting and data entry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
