Shift Manager – The Food Warehouse (Iceland)

• Hours: 37.5 per week
• Salary: £11.20 – £12.27 per hour
• Additional Pay: +£2.00 per hour for hours spent running the store

Role Overview
• Support the management team to deliver strong store performance
• Ensure the store is the best place to shop and work
• Recruited as a Retail Assistant with shift management responsibilities
• Act as a hands-on leader during assigned shifts

Key Responsibilities – Maximise Profit
• Deliver excellent product availability for customers
• Actively support in-store selling initiatives
• Drive sales through “sell a £1 & save a £1” approach
• Complete actions set by the line manager

Key Responsibilities – People & Engagement
• Support and work with the Talking Shop Representative
• Encourage team engagement and morale
• Help create an inclusive and supportive culture
• Share knowledge and support team development
• Take ownership of personal development

Key Responsibilities – Processes & Standards
• Complete daily floor walk actions focused on customer experience
• Deliver high standards of service in store and at the doorstep
• Follow all cash handling and security procedures
• Implement digital and operational processes correctly
• Maintain high standards across all store routines

Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in retail management or a supervisory role
