Job Overview

• St Benet’s RC Primary School is seeking an experienced and motivated School Business Lead to join its dedicated team.
• This is a permanent, full-time, term-time only position.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the school office and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.
• Start Date: October 2026 (or as close as possible).

Salary

• Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): £28,598 – £31,022 per annum (Grade 5, SCP12-SCP17).
• Pro Rata (Term Time Only + 7 Days): £24,526 – £26,605 per annum.

Working Pattern

• Full-time.
• Term Time Only (38 weeks plus 7 additional days).
• Permanent contract.

• St Benet’s RC Primary School
• Fulwell Road, Sunderland, SR6 9QU.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operation of the school office.
• Organise and maintain efficient office systems and procedures.
• Liaise with external agencies and professional organisations.
• Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of new initiatives to improve office efficiency.
• Work closely with school leaders to build strong partnerships with parents.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and GDPR requirements.
• Report any safeguarding concerns through the appropriate procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working within an office environment.
• Experience managing office systems and administrative processes.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and remain flexible.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to recognise personal strengths and support colleagues when needed.
