Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service

- Take bets across different sports and events
- Process customer transactions, including cash handling
- Demonstrate products and betting terminals to customers
- Handle customer complaints and concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills

Requirements
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Previous experience in a customer-facing environment
- Confidence dealing with customers in person
- Familiarity with cash handling and payment transactions

- Ability to work weekends and bank holidays when required
About The Role
Entain is recruiting a Retail Customer Service Manager for its betting shop at 56 Beacon Lough Road, Gateshead.
The successful candidate will join the shop team and report to the Shop Manager. The role involves delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining shop standards and building relationships with customers to encourage repeat custom.
Daily duties include taking bets on different sports and events, processing transactions and handling cash, demonstrating betting terminals and products, responding to customer concerns and working towards defined targets. The successful applicant will also be responsible for opening or closing the shop when required.
Promoting safer gambling is an important part of the role, with employees expected to encourage customers to gamble responsibly.
The position pays £13 per hour and typically involves around 17 hours per week. Shifts can include a combination of longer opening or closing shifts and shorter evening shifts. Shop opening hours can run from 08:00 to 22:00, Monday to Sunday, depending on the location, meaning weekends and bank holidays may be required.
Entain says rotas will be provided at least four weeks in advance to support work-life balance. Optional overtime may also be available depending on staffing requirements.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and have previous customer-facing experience. Familiarity with cash handling and payment transactions is also required.
