ABOUT THE ROLE
Sunderland Greyhound Stadium is looking for Casual Hospitality Assistants to support race days and hospitality functions.
The role involves providing customer service across the venue, including restaurants, private boxes and bar areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve customers efficiently, professionally and courteously
• Provide a high standard of customer service
• Advise guests on products available at the venue
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere
• Work independently or as part of a team
• Maintain stock levels and rotate stock to reduce waste
• Assist with stocktaking
• Keep work areas stocked with glassware, ice, condiments and other supplies
• Prepare restaurants and private boxes for meals, tea, coffee and refreshments
• Provide food and beverage service
• Serve wine and other drinks as directed by management
• Keep work and public areas clean and tidy
• Follow Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines
• Process orders correctly and ensure they are recorded and authorised for billing
• Operate tills and obtain payments in line with procedures
• Close tills according to company procedures
• Maintain temperature records and other required paperwork
• Follow licensing policies and procedures
• Handle cash, stock and equipment securely
• Act as an information point for customers
• Record and dispose of wastage in line with venue procedures and recycling initiatives
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Undertake other reasonable duties according to business needs

• Hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
WORKING PATTERN
Casual work allows shifts to be worked flexibly around other commitments.
• Shifts are offered in advance
• Work is available across race days and hospitality functions
• Shifts depend on busy periods and the annual racing calendar
• Positions are allocated on the day as part of the briefing

ABOUT THE VENUE
Sunderland Greyhound Stadia hosts greyhound racing five days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The venue also offers private boxes and restaurants for racegoers, celebrations and corporate events.
