ABOUT THE ROLE
• Work in a busy outside catering kitchen based at the Evolve Centre in Houghton le Spring.
• Prepare daily specials for the deli front of house.
• Support the outside catering operation from the back-of-house kitchen.
• Prepare food for corporate buffets, funerals, parties and other events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sanitise counters, wash tools and clean the work area at the end of each shift.
• Rotate food stock and store items correctly.
• Restock fridges and pantries as required.
• Follow recipes and check food temperatures.
• Follow health and hygiene requirements.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, servers and other kitchen staff.
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous cooking experience.
• Food Hygiene Level 2.
• Ability to maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
• Knowledge of stock rotation and correct food storage.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to drive.
