About The Role
Food 38 Ltd is looking for motivated Kitchen Staff to join its culinary team in North Shields.
The successful candidates will help prepare and serve high-quality meals in a busy kitchen environment. This is an opportunity for people with kitchen experience, as well as those keen to develop their practical cooking skills and gain experience working alongside an established team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling and organising food safely and efficiently.
- Assist chefs and kitchen supervisors with cooking, following recipes and instructions.
- Keep kitchen workstations clean, organised and hygienic.
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes during service.
- Help plate meals to meet presentation and quality standards.
- Follow food safety procedures for storing and handling ingredients.
- Ensure meals are prepared and delivered on time during busy periods.
- Support serving staff by taking prepared dishes to the dining area when required.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant or professional kitchen.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and food hygiene practices.
- An understanding of meal preparation and kitchen operations.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
