About The Role

Greggs is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Shift Manager to join its team in Chester-le-Street.

Working as part of the management team, you will take responsibility for running the shop when the Shop Manager is not present. You will support and motivate colleagues while ensuring customers receive excellent service across in-store purchases, delivery, Click + Collect and drive-thru channels where available.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards throughout the shop.
• Lead by example by serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Prepare Greggs products, including making sandwiches and managing ovens.
• Ensure displays are fully stocked and customers have plenty of choice.
• Keep the shop clean, tidy and presentable.
• Support colleagues so they have what they need to perform their roles effectively.
• Help deliver a positive customer experience across the shop’s service channels.

Requirements

• Reliability and natural leadership ability.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Previous team supervisory experience in a similar customer-focused environment.
• A supportive attitude towards an inclusive workplace.
• Availability that meets the requirements of the role.
