About The Role:
First Class Learning Chester-le-Street is seeking an enthusiastic tutor to help students achieve their academic goals. The role involves delivering personalised tuition in mathematics, English and sciences, adapting teaching methods to individual learning needs, and creating a positive environment that builds confidence and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to suit individual learning styles and requirements.
- Help students understand subject material, complete homework and prepare for exams.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents where appropriate.
- Adapt teaching approaches for students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
- Maintain organised records of tutoring sessions and student achievements.
- Work with parents, teachers and other professionals to support student development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young learners is essential.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple students and sessions.
- A-Level or equivalent education is required.
