About The Role:

Unity Health Care Solutions is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and confident Home Care Worker to provide person-centred care to people in their own homes.

Most service users are older adults, although the company also supports younger people, including some with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

The role involves helping people maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing while providing reliable, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily personal care, including washing, showering, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Support clients with getting up and going to bed.
• Prepare nutritious food and drinks.
• Administer medication in line with the agreed level of support.
• Carry out light household duties.
• Provide companionship and encourage independence.
• Help clients maintain connections with family, friends and the wider community.
• Maintain accurate care logs and medication records.
• Report health, safety or safeguarding concerns to management promptly.

Essential Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in a domiciliary or home care setting.
• Professional English literacy, numeracy and digital skills for record-keeping.
• Full UK driving licence issued by the DVLA.
• Access to a reliable vehicle for travelling between clients.
• Willingness to complete the Care Certificate standards and statutory training.
• Ability to protect confidential information and uphold clients’ dignity.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
• A caring, empathetic, reliable and flexible approach.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals and colleagues.

Checks: The position requires an Enhanced DBS check, including an Adults’ Barred List check.
