Popeyes Chicken Drive-thru approved for Boldon

A drive-thru restaurant of the popular American fried chicken chain Popeyes has been approved for Boldon next to the cinema

The chain had entered the UK market in 2021 and has been expanding ever since, having opened its first regional branch in the MetroCentre.

Now, South Tyneside council have given the green light for one at the Boldon Leisure Park.

It will consist of an outdoor seating area, an indoor area, toilets, and a drive thru. A new vehicle access will also be created to manage traffic.
