Disturbance on Thorney Close after local vape seller cheated young woman of £60, attempted to hit her and fled

There was a disturbance on Thorney Close at around 10pm yesterday as a local vape seller is alleged to have cheated and attacked a young woman

According to the victim’s family, the individual, who is based on Telford Road, is known throughout the estate for selling “vapes” to young people throughout the estate.

However, on selling to this young woman, he is alleged to have taken the money forcefully, to the value of £60, but then refused to hand over the vape.

An argument broke out wherein he subsequently attempted to hit her, before he fled the scene.

Police have been contacted, and SGM is waiting for more evidence, as well as any CCTV footage, before making any public disclosure of the perpetrator.
