Flag pole at Sunderland Fans museum torn down by storm

A flagpole bearing a classic SAFC flag at the fans museum in Monkwearmouth has been torn down by the recent storm.

The museum posted photos on their social media of the damage, with the pole having been snapped from the lower half by the wind.

The storm, which ranged from 50-100mph across the country, was subject to several weather warnings but Sunderland does not seem to have been otherwise struck too harshly.
