Arnold Clark in Newcastle is hiring a Service Advisor to work on a Full-Time basis
• Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
• Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Salary: £29,563 basic with up to £41,000 OTE plus benefits
• Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:30pm, alternate Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm
About the role
• Customer-facing role supporting service and vehicle repair customers
• Deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience
• Act as the main point of contact from booking through to vehicle collection
• Work closely with workshop and bodyshop teams to progress jobs efficiently
• Communicate clearly with customers about repairs, faults and solutions
• Handle dissatisfied customers with empathy and professionalism
Day-to-day duties
• Manage customer requirements for servicing and repairs
• Liaise with workshop/bodyshop to coordinate work
• Control computer-based job cards, purchasing and invoice processes
• Protect the financial interests of both customer and business
• Maintain accurate customer, vehicle and service history records
• Upsell aftersales products and services where appropriate
• Keep customer databases accurate and up to date
Essential skills and experience
• Strong passion for customer service and problem resolution
• Confident communicator able to explain technical information clearly
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
• Strong organisation and multitasking skills in a busy environment
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to defined processes
• Accurate administrative skills and attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence
