Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and repair gas appliances and systems in residential properties
- Conduct safety inspections of gas installations
- Ensure installations comply with legal safety standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and carpentry skills
- Assemble and modify gas-related components
- Carry out plumbing work related to gas systems
- Complete pipe fitting and leak detection
- Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials when required
- Maintain detailed records of work completed
- Report safety concerns and faults promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Use personal protective equipment as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Gas Safe Engineer or in a similar gas installation and maintenance role
- Valid Gas Safe certification or registration is essential
- Competence in welding, plumbing, carpentry and assembly work
- Plumbing skills desirable
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, power tools and hand tools
- Ability to carry out heavy lifting safely
- Commercial driving experience advantageous
- Basic maths skills for measurements and installation calculations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small team

About The Role
