JOB TITLE

• Cleaning Operative (40 Hours) – Eldon Square

EMPLOYER

• Savills (Eldon Square Management)

LOCATION

• Eldon Square, Newcastle upon Tyne
• Area: Tyne & Wear

SALARY

• £12.51 per hour

CONTRACT

• Permanent
• Full Time
• 40 hours per week
• Alternating shifts: 07:00–16:00 and 13:30–22:00
• Rolling 5 days on, 3 days off (including weekends)
• Site-based role

ROLE OVERVIEW

• Ensure the shopping centre is kept clean and well maintained
• Remove rubbish and manage waste collection
• Clean internal and external low-level glass
• Respond quickly to food and liquid spillages
• Clean public toilets
• Remove black marks from tiled areas
• Carry out dust control mopping and suction cleaning
• Machine strip and scrub floors and tiled areas
• Follow all site-specific duties and cleaning standards

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience providing cleaning services in a busy public environment
• Good customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
• Ability to work independently and handle demanding situations
• Honest, reliable and well presented
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in both internal and external environments
• Willingness to undertake further on-site training
