Houghton Rugby Club is hiring a Clubhouse Supervisor in Houghton-le-Spring (DH4 5BH) on a full-time basis, paying £26,000–£28,000 a year.
The role involves leading the day-to-day running of the clubhouse, supervising bar, kitchen and cleaning staff, delivering excellent service standards, and supporting the successful delivery of events, match days and private functions. The position averages 40 hours a week across the year, with flexibility during busy and quiet periods.
Key responsibilities include team supervision, bar and facilities oversight, cash handling, stock management, event organisation, liaising with members and clients, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining high standards across the venue.
Applicants will need proven hospitality or event management experience, strong organisational and leadership skills, excellent communication, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and great customer service. Experience in a sports club environment is desirable.
