Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and required standards
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with day-to-day kitchen operations
- Help maintain a smooth kitchen workflow
- Work with team members to provide timely service during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels
- Assist with ordering kitchen supplies
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and tidy
Requirements
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar hospitality role
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Good knowledge of culinary techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Good communication skills
About The Role
Lartington Hall, part of The Apartment Group, is recruiting a Breakfast Chef/Chef de Partie to join its culinary team in Barnard Castle.
The successful applicant will help prepare and cook high-quality menu items while maintaining food safety, kitchen efficiency and service standards. The role includes assisting with kitchen operations, working with colleagues during busy service periods and helping ensure the kitchen remains clean and organised.
The position is full-time and pays £13.25 per hour. Responsibilities also include monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when required.
