ABOUT THE ROLE

The Restaurant Expeditor plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of restaurant operations by coordinating between the kitchen and serving staff.

The role involves ensuring orders are prepared correctly and delivered to customers promptly, while supporting the Head Chef by leading the pass from the front-of-house side.

The successful candidate will also support the opening of a new restaurant and deliver training to new team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure food is hot, delivered promptly and meets the restaurant’s visual standards.
• Oversee food service operations to ensure efficient and timely service.
• Manage the Food Runner and Busser teams and their stations.
• Ensure serving stations are replenished and prepared for dine-in and takeaway service.
• Ensure takeaway orders contain the correct items and are ready on time.
• Coordinate with delivery platforms to support timely driver collection.
• Maintain high ratings on delivery platforms and address delivery-order issues promptly.
• Monitor stock levels for nibbles, desserts, takeaway packaging, takeaway drinks and garnishes.
• Coordinate supplier orders when required.
• Inform chefs about low stock levels of restaurant-made desserts and nibbles.
• Maintain clean, organised and hazard-free stations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage orders efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain inventory records and conduct quarterly inventory checks.
• Clean and maintain equipment in the waiter station and food service area.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience running the pass.
• Experience packing takeaways.
• Experience handling third-party delivery platforms.
• Food expediting experience.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

• Initial training for the successful candidate will include 3–4 days at My Delhi’s sister site in Newcastle.
• Supportive Learning and Development programmes.
