Job Overview
- St Benet’s RC Primary School is seeking an experienced and motivated School Business Lead to join its dedicated team.
- This is a permanent, full-time, term-time only position.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the school office and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.
- Start Date: October 2026 (or as close as possible).
Salary
- Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): £28,598 – £31,022 per annum (Grade 5, SCP12-SCP17).
- Pro Rata (Term Time Only + 7 Days): £24,526 – £26,605 per annum.
Working Pattern
- Full-time.
- Term Time Only (38 weeks plus 7 additional days).
- Permanent contract.
Location
- St Benet’s RC Primary School
- Fulwell Road, Sunderland, SR6 9QU.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operation of the school office.
- Organise and maintain efficient office systems and procedures.
- Liaise with external agencies and professional organisations.
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives to improve office efficiency.
- Work closely with school leaders to build strong partnerships with parents.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and GDPR requirements.
- Report any safeguarding concerns through the appropriate procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working within an office environment.
- Experience managing office systems and administrative processes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and remain flexible.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to recognise personal strengths and support colleagues when needed.
