Overview
Full-time temporary Medical Receptionist role at Talbot Medical Centre, covering sickness for 3–5 months. Working within a busy GP practice, supporting patient services and administrative operations.
Hours
- 37 hours per week over 4 days
- Includes late finish (8:00pm on Thursdays)
- Covers extended hours including evenings

Role Responsibilities
- Manage front desk and patient interactions (in person and phone)
- Handle appointment bookings and patient records
- Use EMIS and other IT systems
- Process prescriptions and liaise with pharmacies
- Maintain accurate records and scan correspondence
- Support smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with health & safety
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a healthcare setting (essential)
- Primary care experience (essential)
- EMIS system knowledge (essential)
- Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, empathetic, and team-oriented
