Man caught with indecent images that included baby being abused

A man who fantasised about the abuse of children has been caught with images and videos that included a baby being abused.

Nathan Thomas, 23, was raided by police back in November 2021. On his phone they found 22 Category A images, which included 12 still images and 10 videos, five category B images, and two images of extreme pornography.

The baby being abused was estimated to be between 2-6 months of age. He had been communicating with other people via an app.

Here, in communication with another person, he shared explicit and reprehensible sexual fantasies regarding the children.

Thomas pleaded guilty to the distribution of category A moving images, making (downloading) Category A indecent images of children and moving images, making indecent images of Category B possession of extreme pornography.

He was jailed for two years and three months.
