Maxim Brewery now selling bottles of Lambtons for pickup

Maxim Brewery is now selling bottles of the classic Vaux ale Lambtons for pickup at their shop.

Lambtons, an iconic drink named after the historic Washington family, is most famous for being Sunderland’s shirt sponsor in the 97/98 and 98/99 seasons, becoming associated with Sunderland legends such as Kevin Phillips.

Orders can be placed by calling 0191 5848844 with pickup until 3pm on Monday to Friday.

Although a newer “Vaux” brewery was started up around 2020, and have done well in establishing themselves, Double Maxim Brewery is the legacy successor of the historic Sunderland brand who continues to own the rights and recipes for its respective drinks.

Sunderland A.F.C recently caused controversy by dropping Double Maxim from its Stadium of Light bars and adopting the copycat Vaux instead.
