Murderer Killed Victim in their home then ordered Pizza

A Nottingham man has been jailed for life after killing his friend and then ordering pizza to the victim’s home.

Caine Lonsdale, 34, admitted to the murder of 40-year-old Jonathan Dittia, who suffered fatal head injuries following a violent attack at his flat in Eddleston Drive, Clifton, on 17 September 2024.

A post-mortem revealed Mr Dittia had been repeatedly kicked, stamped on, and struck with a blunt object.
CCTV later captured Lonsdale eating takeaway pizza outside the flat before calling 999 to confess to the killing.

Lonsdale pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 15 years before parole eligibility.
