Northumbria Police issues statement on last night’s multi vehicle crash on A19

Police have issued a statement following a multi vehicle crash on the A19 last night.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 5pm on Monday (November 26), we received a report of a collision involving four vehicles on the A19 northbound in Sunderland, near to the A1231 junction.

Officers attended the scene where no injuries were believed to have been reported. Some lanes were blocked but the road was later fully re-opened.”
