Sunderland Charity offers £1000 reward for identity of swan killer
A Sunderland Charity is offering a £1000 reward to whoever can reveal the identity of the person who shot a swan at Herrington Country Park during the week.
The swan had received multiple injuries to its face and head from what appears to be an Air or BB gun. Although it was rescued, the injuries were so severe the bird had to be put to sleep, provoking outrage from the local community.
Now Sunderland animal protection, shelter and welfare Charity, Pawz for thought, are issuing an appeal to bring the killer to justice. The charity have told SGM that any information submitted will be kept confidential and your identity anonymous.
