Taril kennels in North Hylton criticised for neglect of dogs

A Sunderland based kennel organisation has been criticised for perceived neglect of its dogs, prompting an outcry on social media.

Taril Kennels, located off Wessington Way in North Hylton, was subject to a widely shared social media post by a Sunderland woman who was concerned for the welfare of a Rottweiler called Tommy, and was seeking to contact its owner.

With their own dog, Gemma, having shared a kennel with him. They remarked that the dog seemed very stressed and there was urine everywhere, which stunk.

They also stated the dogs had little water and were uncomfortable in the heat. The revelations provoked anger from Sunderland residents.
